On behalf of the McAllen Education Foundation, Julian C. Gomez presented seven McAllen Independent School District Achieve Early College High School students with MEF scholarships. “It was a true honor,” said Gomez. “These students have worked very hard, earned our support, and going to make people’s lives better.”

MISD’s Achieve Early College High School blends traditional high school with college into one program and allows students to earn and graduate with a high school diploma and college associates degree. MEF is a not-for-profit charity independent of the MISD with its own board of directors. MEF’s mission is to foster excellence and enhance educational opportunities through innovative teaching grants, professional learning, and student scholarships.
